Wais Azami is an affordable criminal lawyer who routinely handles arrest warrants and recalls warrants, sometimes the same day when possible. Don't take a chance getting pulled over or dragged into custody, especially when you're caught unprepared.
Arrest warrants are usually issued by a magistrate or court because someone has failed to comply with a legal demand or a court order. For example, not showing up for a scheduled court date or scheduled court hearing, not fulfilling terms of probation or parole, not paying fines, not appearing in court when demanded by the judge to appear, not appearing after promising to appear, and for various other reasons.
The bottom line is that when a warrant has been issued for you, you could be taken into custody and forced to appear in court in front of a judge. If that is on a Friday afternoon, you'll have to wait until next weekday the court is open. NO bail will be allowed. Law enforcement can take you in by coming to your known address, by pulling you over while you're driving, by finding by coincidence/accident (usually in car accidents where people have to show ID's), and anywhere else where you are identified by law enforcement. There are no set times of when they can or cannot come for you. Once an arrest warrant has been issued, you're considered a fugitive.
Immigrants & Warrants:
People who are not yet U.S. citizens or are totally undocumented, should be very careful not to get an arrest warrant. If one does get an arrest warrant, it's important to hire an attorney to appear in court on your behalf (possible for infractions and misdemeanors). Felonies require personal appearance even if an attorney is hired. The reason for wanting an attorney to appear and take care of the matter as quickly as possible is to avoid jail time where ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) could put a hold on you and prevent you from leaving. Even if you pay your bond to bail out, (for normal arrests, not warrant arrests), you could be transferred to an ICE hold (waste of bail money basically) and forced to deal with your immigration issues. However, if you're picked up for the warrant only, there will be no bail.
Whenever possible, hire an attorney to appear on your behalf and avoid the risk of an ICE hold, regardless of how minimal it may be. The alternative is devastating.
